With pregnancy comes a bigger belly. And a bigger belly means a shallower belly-button. Eric has caught Julie gazing at her navel several times in the last few months (continuing the trend that Julie is easily entertained, such as while waiting in line for L'As du Falafel in Paris ^_^). Like the tide-pools at low tide, the bottom of the belly-button slowly surfaces.
And for you doctors, the official term is "Omphaloskepsis."
