We're having a cow!

Literally, we are having a cow...
Well, not literately; and only figuratively if you know that this is the year of the cow in the Chinese zodiac.

With meticulous planning, our little bean (now a prune) will be arriving right around New Years. Eric is rooting for just inside this year, so we can get the tax deduction :)
We've been waiting for the end of the first trimester, so if we've seemed quiet when you ask "what's new?" it's because only one thing is new and we couldn't talk about it until now!

There are two teams rooting for the gender. It seems guys want a boy and gals want a girl. Maybe we should start taking bets on the outcome... all proceeds go to the future college fund ^_^ (it's the gambling Taiwanese in us)

The grandparents-to-be are extremely excited.

... to be continued.

SF Pride parade

Julie and Eric went out the see the Pride parade in SF. At first we thought it was going to be another dress-up party. However, we saw an extremely supportive gay and lesbian community out there cheering each other on.

This reminds Julie of how great America is to allow people to have freedom to practice whatever they believe in.

Pink Martini SF concert

Thanks to Andrea, we were finally able to see Pink Martini in action. The concert took place at the SF Davies Symphony Hall.

This is one of the songs they performed at the concert (video not from our concert). When the singer brought out the cow bell ^o^ Julie got so excited!!! it reminded her of Saturday Night Live's "WE NEED MORE COW BELLS" episode.

Their music is so unique. It is a blend of classical/ethnic/jazz and they are even better live.

Here is a documentary on Pink Martini:

Eric was there... he's the one taking pictures ^_^

8 years in the making

YEAH!!!!! it is finally over !!!
Eric was hooded on 6/13 with lots of family and friends cheering him on in the audience ( even though it was not recommended by the dean).
From 2009.05.17 Eric's graduation best

Although it was a very hot evening, the family were all happy to see Eric complete another huge milestone.
After our big celebration dinner, Louis got to try on Eric's hood... made him look kind of like a Star War's character ^_^
