Alice and Jason's wedding in DC

We started our exciting adventure of DC/Paris with a really really early flight on Sunday. So early that Eric agreed to get Julie a cup of hot cocoa at the airport to bribe her into waking up.

As our plane approached DC, Eric and Julie were both surprised that the plane (and the airport) is so close to the Pentagon.


Of course, the main purpose of our DC trip is to help the Lee family celebrate Alice and Jason's wedding. Even though we both have never met Jason, we liked him right away. Especially Eric, because they are both thrifty and dorky ^_^

After the rehearsal dinner, Carol took the family out on a nice walk while the boys went out for some beer. Julie got a preview of the glass harpist's performance on the street.

The glass harpist was so good at the wedding the next day. Even though the wedding picture session between the ceremony and dinner went over a little, the musician stayed to entertain the guest until the wedding party returned... we all thought he might have been getting blisters from the 2 hours of performance *-*

The morning of the wedding, Julie got to join the girls when they were getting their hair and make-up done.

Look at those lashes!! Honestly, Julie really liked this hair-do on Alice... too bad this was not the final do.

The wedding was really touching too.

Julie was a live faucet from the beginning to the end ^_^ can you imaging if it is Carol's wedding?

They even had a traditional Korean bowing ceremony (simplified). Julie was so happy that Alice was able to find such a nice guy with such a welcoming family.

Before we left DC, Eric and Julie had to take their little tomato to see where it all started ^_^

Five years ago, in front of the great uniter, we got engaged on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Five years later, we are here with our little one on the way... hopefully we will get to do this again.

Oh... missed the most important part... for some reason Julie didn't get a chance to take a picture of Carol's new man... He is a very nice guy and very helpful too. But before we left, Julie couldn't help but to let Paul know to take good care of Carol ^_^*
