Hong Kong airport was filled with Chinese new year's decorations and the shopping area was decorated with red and gold. Even McDonalds got in the spirit of the rat year (there's a curly fry in my rat).
We purchased group tickets (group of two) for the airport express train to Kowloon.
First order of business = dim sum ^_^
Second order of business = shopping
Intermission = watched an old man wheel a propane tank in the fast lane of a boulevard.
Got beat up by Bruce Lee.
Almost joined a protest ^_^ but we were not sure what they were protesting.
lots and lots of good food.
Finally, we took our flight to Taiwan to visit ma and pa.
Eric and I started our Chinese new year celebration with a quick trip to Hong Kong... and we realized if you say Hong Kong really fast, it sounds kinda like honk-honk, which our taxi drivers did a lot of on this trip.
